Happy Halloween!!! Candy is probably surrounding you, right??? Everywhere you look there are piles and bowls and bags of candy! It's hard to resist. But, you can. I say, choose your absolute favorite and enjoy it with NO guilt. It's ok to have treats, you just don't want to lose sight of your goals or de-rail yourself with a spiral of candy! (Who has ever had one, then another, and thought, well I had 2, might as well have 3 or 4 now, I already ruined my "diet". I know you're out there with me!!!) STOP that mind-set! First of all, if you're eating well and healthy, that is NOT a diet. That is how you should be eating. So that occasional treat is not going to do damage! If you are overly depriving yourself then yes, you run the risk of going on a binge, feeling guilty, sabotaging your progress, and then saying your "diet" isn't working. I've seen it a million times. You have to stop feeling guilty about food. Ooops, sorry, went off on a tangent there. END RANT ;) Back to the fun stuff. Here are a few ideas to satisfy that sweet tooth without blowing your goals, detering your progress, or leaving you feeling "cheated" by a fake treat. Halloween is all about chocolate, right?

Chocolate Pudding: Add 1 1/2-2 tablespoons of instant chocolate pudding to a small container (7 oz.) plain greek yogurt. As you stir you'll see the yogurt start to thicken to an almost mousse like consistency. You can always leave it as chocolate, or add a teaspoon of peanut butter for extra richness. Top with chopped peanuts or fresh fruit!

Butterfinger Shake: 1 scoop of Chocolate Shakeology 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk 1 1/2 tbsp of butterscotch pudding 1 1/2 tbsp of PB2 or natural peanut butter

Add ice and blend it all together. The more ice, the thicker and creamier it will be!

Inside out Shakeology peanut butter cups:

2 tsp. unrefined coconut oil, melted

2 Tbsp. PB2

2 tsp. chocolate Shakeology

2 Tbsp. water

1. Combine oil and PB2 in a small bowl; mix well. Set aside.

2. Combine Shakeology and water in a small bowl; mix until it has a pudding-like consistency. Set aside.

3. Coat two foil muffin liners evenly with half of peanut butter mixture. Top evenly with Shakeology mixture and remaining peanut butter mixture.

4. Freeze for 30 minutes, or until firm.

Let me know what you think of these treats and how YOU stay on track around the holidays :)

xoxo,

Bex
