A LITTLE ME TIME and PROGRESS UPDATE WEEK 1

Well it's not everyday that I have a bottle of veuve hiding in the back of my suv. Nor, every year, really. BUT, this weekend was THAT weekend. Ladies, when your husband says he booked you a hotel for the night, DON'T argue. He had mentioned doing this months and months ago, but I shrugged him off saying that I didn't need to spend a night away. I WAS WRONG. He asked me not to argue with him this time and just go enjoy myself.

I got a message, I wandered around and had lunch without a cyclone pulling everything off the table. I read, I met a girlfriend for the hosted HH in my hotel and then dinner, I drank champagne and reminisced, recharged and felt so grateful. (I also fell asleep at 9 PM, but that's beside the point because when I woke up at 11 PM, Pretty Women was on and I didnt feel guilty watching it!) And if that wasn't enough, I woke up leisurly and enjoyed a delicious brunch while I caught up on a little work. #girlboss style.
BUT YOU'RE ON A DIET I hear people screaming at me. Welllll...not really. The 21 Day Fix is not only not a diet, but also, eating clean or just healthier in general shouldn't feel like a full-time job. I am realistic. I am NOT going to pass up pork belly on a gruyere potato cake with poached eggs. Because I don't eat it every day. It's lifestyle and balance. When you have a plan, it's so much easier to feel on track. Not feeling guilty about my food choices one day keeps me sane and keeps me going. So, I tighten it up a little with baked fish and veggie (recipe coming!) during the the next week. It's all worth it, and it's all good! 21 DAY FIX UPDATE: So, what was my progress at the end of week 1? I didn't see much movement on the scale, but I know what I need to do. However, I LOST 4.25 INCHES! Yea, buddy!
I am doing a happy dance for that...I'll remember this lovely weekend I had and keep moving on. I have big goals and big dreams and nothing is gonna stop this mama.
xoxo Bex
